Briefly, this error occurs when the mapping of an Elasticsearch index alias is not updated. This can happen when new fields are added to the index or the data type of existing fields is changed. Overview

- It is good practice to define the settings and mapping of an Index wherever possible because if this is not done, Elasticsearch tries to automatically guess the data type of fields at the time of indexing.
